For my cover shoot as Stitch Magazine’s Digital Creative Director, I chose to employ DALL-E 2 and Chat GTP to explore AI’s capabilities in enhancing foundational creativity. We fed Chat GTP a list of 100 words generated by the STITCH creative team with the prompt, “Write 10 photoshoot prompts utilizing these words.” We chose three of the chatbot’s themes (Disco Bubbles, Psychedelic Sunset and Dystopian Movie Set) and asked DALL-E 2 to incorporate the themes into original student photography. The result was an 8-page spread and cover in STITCH’s Spring 2023 issue.
